A gamer's skill (including myself) can be drastically effected if their look settings aren't to your preference.
Basically your look settings is how fast you turn in halo 3.
The scale for look settings is 1 through 10, 1 means you turn very very slow and 10 means your are on Meth and you turn like lightening.
Don't get confused though because the look settings DONT change how fast you MOVE, they change how fast you TURN or LOOK.
If you are a sniper then generally your look setting is going to be pretty low, but if you usually encounter hand to hand combat or close range then generally you look setting should be pretty high.
Just play around with the settings until you feel most comfortable.
I like to keep mine around 3 or 4 because it is fast enough to turn around if someone is creeping up behind me, but slow enough so I can have pin point accuracy while sniping
Good Luck Gaming,
